First off, there are wild animals everywhere. Within moments of our arrival we spotted 6 Mountain Goats navigating a rocky ledge near the road and moments later 3 Elk crossing a river. Needless to say we were all pretty excited about the days to come.
The second thing we learned is that the weather changes in an instant in the mountains. We arrived to sun and warmth but that quickly turned to rain, then more sun and back to rain again. Who knows what the next few days will bring?
